ARRC Organics hosts Queensland waste sector tour
More than 50 council and industry representatives from across Queensland visited the ARRC Organics facility, gaining a firsthand look at advanced composting processes as part of Brisbane’s Future Waste Resources (FWR) Symposium.
The facility is owned by ARRC Organics and operated by Phoenix Power Recyclers (PPR), highlighting a strong partnership delivering large-scale organics recovery and sustainable waste solutions.
The tour, organised by Waste Recycling Industry Association (WRIQ), brought together delegates from across the state, with strong representation from regional and North Queensland areas.
PPR’s Production Manager Mark Jackson said the visit provided a practical demonstration of how large-scale organics processing operates.
“We had more than 50 people through the site,” Mark explained. “It was great to show them how our operation works from start to finish.”
Visitors were guided through key stages of the process, including material intake, sorting at the picking station and the advanced composting plant (ACP) tunnels.
There was strong interest in the operation of the composting tunnels and the pasteurisation process.
“It was really valuable meeting people from across Queensland, particularly those looking at similar solutions in their regions.”
